I AM A SERVICE MEMBER/VETERAN

ACTION OVER SILENCE OFFERS A VARIETY OF MILITARY/VETERAN-SPECIFIC RESOURCES TO SUPPORT YOU WHEN LIFE GETS CHALLENGING

Leaving the service doesn't mean you're on your own. Every service member and veteran needs battle buddies—fellow brothers and sisters who have walked the same path and just get it. We are built on the belief that no Service Member, Veteran or family member should feel alone in crisis—and that communities can save lives when they come together. We’ve got a tight-knit community of Veterans. Reach out to us for a 1-on-1 chat, or come grab a chair and hang out at one of the Peer Support groups in the area.

WOULD YOU LIKE ONE-ON-ONE VETERAN SUPPORT?

Our Veteran, Certified Peer Support Professional will meet either in person, by phone, or via Zoom for:

  • Talking through life's battles
  • Finding and navigating resources such as employment, medical care, mental health & substance use services, social services, and VA benefits.

LOOKING FOR SOCIAL OPPORTUNITIES WITH OTHER SERVICE MEMBERS AND/OR VETERANS?

FREE GUN STORAGE

When life feels challenging, having a gun vacation can keep ourselves and our families safe.

We have free, temporary, Veteran-to-Veteran firearm storage for Veterans, Service Members, and family members/caregivers during stressful times, transitions, travel, or personal concerns.

FREE GUN LOCKS, DETERRA POUCHES & NARCAN

Gun locks can protect you and your loved ones. We distribute free cable gun locks to reduce immediate access during challenging times and to protect kids/grandkids. You can also request them from the VA by emailing Rachael Dettling or by contacting us or by emailing us.

Have old or excess meds in the house? Another way to protect yourself and your family is to safely get rid of any excess or expired medication using our free medication disposal pouches (flushing medicine is bad for our water system). We also provide free Narcan, and fentanyl and xylazine test strips. Contact us to receive any of these.

We are currently supported by a Community Challenge grant from the
